Shared Hosting Services
Shared Web Hosting, otherwise known as virtual hosting, is were more than one customer is sharing the same server. Shared Web Hosting is usually more economical than going Non-Shared since all the customers on the server are splitting the servers maintenance and upkeep costs.

What To Look For:
As an example of overlaping communities the Unix & Linux Hosting communities covers all Shared Hosting plans that run off of the Unix family of operating systems. Generally speaking, the bulk of them contain support for the PHP programming language. However not all PHP Hosts use the Unix family of operating systems. Some are configured to use WIMP (Windows, IIS, MySQL, and PHP) therefore a separate community has been made. Also PHP Hosts understand all of the inner workings of PHP has a prerequisite while, Unix & Linux Hosts only need to run the Unix family of operating systems.
