When last we looked at TierraNet (January of 2005) our Independent Review Panel liked their features, bandwidth, guarantee, and support. Wasn’t impressed with the web sapce and high setup fees. Our Independent Review Panel found they haven’t changed.

TierraNet’s hosting solutions come with a variety of features and options. Utilizing the Unix family of operating systems, TierraNet couples CGI, PHP, and the Miva engine as the primary tools for Web development with FrontPage extensions. Streaming Real Media is also standard with all Host plans.

E-Commerce features come in the form of SSL, BasicCart and Miva Merchant shopping carts, as well as real-time credit card processing support. TierraNet also includes unmetered bandwidth. TierraNet allows no questions asked bandwidth up to 10 GB. After that point they will work with you to keep up with your site’s bandwidth requirements.

TierraNet may have good marks on features and bandwidth, but their Web space could use a little work. We think that, for the price, Web space should be around double what TierraNet offers.

TierraNet has fairly expensive setup fees. Setup fees for all of TierraNet’s hosting solutions will set you back fifty dollars.
