ValueWeb was created in 1996 is now a part of the Affinity Internet, Inc. family of Web hosting companies. ValueWeb has a long track record in the hosting industry and currently hosts more than 150,000 sites in over 130 countries, with an emphasis towards business and E-Commerce Hosting.
When last we looked at ValueWeb (May of 2005) our Independent Review Panel overall was pleased with everything they offered but wished the prices were a little bit on par with the industry. Going back to ValueWeb our Independent Review Panel found that they had adjusted the low end pricing to support the industry average, while still offering the same data transfer and support,
Catering to business clientele, ValueWeb carries full-featured, E-Commerce solutions starting at $19.95 per month. Features including IBM's Homepage Builder, Urchin Web Statistics Software, MySQL Databases, Miva Merchant, SSL Server, and more all come standard on their E-Commerce plans. Along with these features, ValueWeb's E-Commerce solutions come with a lot of Monthly Data Transfer.
Support is very good. It is handled 24 hours a day, seven days week via toll-free phone and email support. Online Chat Support is also available, as is a large searchable FAQ database.
Although ValueWeb includes plenty of free software in their E-Commerce solutions, our Independent Review Panel though Setup Fees were just a little too high.
Verdict:
ValueWeb offers very good E-Commerce options with plenty of free software and enough monthly data transfer to keep your business running even under the most demanding of customer bases. 24/7/365 Toll free phone support is very good. And though our Independent Review Panel reported high setup fees, ValueWeb is a good value over all.
