Overview: Managed servers with WiredTree run top-notch hardware from companies such as SuperMicro. Servers are customizable or you can select from WiredTree's list of prebuilt servers. WiredTree has CPUs ranging from Intel dual core to dual quad cores, multiple hard drive and RAM setups, multiple bandwidth choices, etc.

WiredTree's feature set is based around their hardware, support, and server security. In each of these areas, WiredTree pulls out all the stops. Lots of bundled software options and the ability to resell from your server help to round out the feature set. Although some might not like the fact that there is no choice as far as operating system goes, our Independent Review Panel thinks that if you were to only use one operating system, CentOS is a good choice and if you can provide the sort of support WiredTree does on their systems, then why change.

Support at WiredTree is run using 24/7 toll free phone, email, and helpdesk support. Responsive, polite, professional, and knowledgeable, the support at WiredTree falls in the upper percentile of Web Hosts support teams. In fact, most of the Independent Review Panel's support tickets were answered very quickly, much faster than the Industry Average. Along with their excellent support, WiredTree actively monitors their network and hardware and offers free migration assistance. WiredTree's hosting solutions also come with a series of guarantees such as 100% uptime and one hour hardware replacement.

The 437 LaSalle data center is not just a highly redundant data center with plenty of security, backup systems, and the like, but is housed in a building rich in history. And like many of the buildings in downtown Chicago, is absolutely gorgeous. History aside, this data center has high marks for a strong network. The uptime chart provided by Hyperspin can attest to that (100% uptime as of this writing and experienced during the duration of the review period).

Verdict:
WiredTree offers powerful managed solutions backed by a stable network and excellent support. Although our Independent Review Panel did not find any problems while using their hosting plans, the prices are not for everyone and some may not like having to only use CentOS. Other than that, WiredTree is an exceptional host.
