Below is our review for Jodohost. It is
based on our ten plus years of experience reviewing Web Hosts and Host
Finders. It is based on our
proven test procedures,
and on our
reader's reviews. This review is also based on the feedback we get
from our reader's comments, and emails as well as from the our
interaction with the business and Web developer/design communities in
the numerous online forums. Much of this review was conducted by a
non-paid independent panel of experienced Web developers that are very
good at what they do. We know that all of that combined makes our review
process different from anyone else's in this industry, but to top it off
it is important for you to know that unlike other review sites, we
Purchase the Web Hosting services we review. That's right. The
absolute BEST way to review Web Host services is by actually using those
services and comparing them to other Web Host services that have been
similarly tested with the same testing criteria. We do these tests
using an anonymous account so the Web Hosts will not treat us any
differently than any other customer. Our process is expensive, but it is
what we do because we want to be the best, and we want you to have the
best information possible.

Here's a Tip for you: We have never accepted money to give a
company a better rating. Our reputation is more important than that.
However, even though the vast majority of the "top
10" review type sites you see in the search engines appear to be genuine, they
actually base their lists of "Top Hosting Companies" on the affiliate
rates (or other advertising revenue) they
receive from the companies they list. The Web Hosts they list may be
good but the rating method used is faulty.
In our opinion, you should NEVER trust those types of review and rating
sites.

Overview:
Started in 2002, Jodohost has become a solid contender in the Reseller Hosting industry. Operating out of New Delhi, India with servers located in Florida, Jodohost offers an extensive feature list, high-quality hardware, and excellent support.
The feature list that Jodohost provides their reselling accounts is quite extensive. Windows and Redhat Linux operating systems are both included with all reseller packages. Both operating systems are supported by numerous technologies such as ASP, ASP.NET, PHP4, Perl, CGI, XML, ColdFusion, Crontab, MS SQL, MySQL, PgSQL, Oracle 10, and more. Database allocations for MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, and PgSQL are unlimited. Oracle support is limited by table space and user number, but both are well above the Industry Average. Our Independent Review Panel especially liked the extensive database support that was included with Jodohost's reseller solutions.
Although Jodohost's reseller packages are relatively inexpensive, they do not skimp on the hardware. Dual Xeon (or PIV with HT technology) servers with a minimum of 2 GB DDRAM and Ultra320 SCSI hard drives are the standard computer for all reseller accounts. To ensure reliable connectivity, Jodohost is connected to 3 major tier-1 Internet providers (Level3, Global Crossing, and XO). Confident in their network uptime, Jodohost offers, a 99.5% uptime guarantee.
When last we reviewed Jodohost (May of 2005) our Independent Review Panel was impressed by their long feature list, use of high-grade hardware; not impressed with some of the upgrades being expensive, additional accounts cost extra and only one control panel. After a re-look of JodoHost our Independant Review Panel was again impressed at the value but the con's still remain. Still an excellent host.
Support is quite good with speedy answers via email, phone, live chat support, and forums. For reseller accounts, Jodohost offers anonymous support for your customers. The anonymous support is very good and at 50 cents per customer per month it is a lot cheaper than many 3rd party outsourcing solutions.
Adding more user accounts to your reseller package costs extra. For instance, on the SilverHost plan you 30 user accounts for free. After this point each user account costs 50 cents per customer per month. Though it is not a lot of money and is better than the industry average our Independent Review Panel maintains that the best user account setting for reselling is unlimited user accounts with Web space, monthly data transfer, and system resources being the only constraints.
Some of the Add-ons and Upgrades are expensive with Web/Disk space and monthly data transfer prices being the major points of contention.
Although this is not necessarily a major complaint, Jodohost only utilizes the H-Sphere Control Panel. Functionality of this control panel is good, but there are some who would rather be able to choose between multiple control panels.
Verdict:
Jodohost is a very well-rounded Reseller Host. Their hardware, support, and feature list are all excellent and the few problems our Independent Review Panel found are all very minor complaints. So if you are searching for a Reseller Host give Jodohost a look.
