services and comparing them to other Web Host services that have been
similarly tested with the same testing criteria. We do these tests
using an anonymous account so the Web Hosts will not treat us any
differently than any other customer. Our process is expensive, but it is
what we do because we want to be the best, and we want you to have the
best information possible.

Here's a Tip for you: We have never accepted money to give a
company a better rating. Our reputation is more important than that.
However, even though the vast majority of the "top
10" review type sites you see in the search engines appear to be genuine, they
actually base their lists of "Top Hosting Companies" on the affiliate
rates (or other advertising revenue) they
receive from the companies they list. The Web Hosts they list may be
good but the rating method used is faulty.
In our opinion, you should NEVER trust those types of review and rating
sites.

When last we reviewed Apollo Hosting (June of 2005) our Independent Review Panel was enjoyed everything they had to offer, but notably their spam filter features and free site builder and found no major problems, and is happy that they have maintained their track record in a recent revisiting.
Apollo hosting offers what we consider the pinnacle of service for support. 24/7 toll-free support as well as 24/7 chat and a messaging service. Support is courteous and professional.
Hosting solutions at Apollo are feature rich. Basic Unix features such as PHP, MySQL, and Java come standard with all plans. Multimedia features such as Real Media, QuickTime Video, and Microsoft Media are also standard with all plans.
Depending on your Web plan, Apollo offers Miva Merchant with all Web plans adding to the exceptional value. Support for Miva comes standard with every plan as well as free upgrades. If you purchase the high end E-Commerce plan (and pre-pay quarterly) you also receive support direct from the Miva Corporation.
Apollo Hosting is one of the first Hosts to add Spam and Virus protection to their email accounts, free of charge. Kudos Apollo Hosting.
If you don't have the time to put your Website together you can use Apollo's free Site Builder. The Site Builder uses templates to design a quick site. Though not the best site builder we have seen, Apollo's builder is easy to use and the designs are clean.
Verdict:
Apollo Hosting has many of the essentials for a top-notch E-Commerce Host. They have tons of features, rock-solid support, and a stable network. If you are searching for an E-Commerce Host, check out Apollo Hosting.
